Today I am going to review a whole series again. I
actually just finished reading the third and final book in the trilogy, but I’m
reviewing from the first. Otherwise, what sense would it make to you? The first
book in the series is called Girl, Missing by Sophie McKenzie. And then it goes
Sister, Missing as the second book, and the one I just finished called Missing
Me. It’s a chick-lit type of story with action in it too.

The final book, in my opinion is nowhere near as good as
the rest. Personally the main character (not Lauren in this case) annoyed me a bit, and the only one I
really liked the story was because of a character called Wolf. He seemed so realistic, passionate and calm,
I could really relate to how much I would love a friend like that. The second
book was definitely the best out of them all, and the first was good too. But this
is only my opinion ^^
Lauren is a strong-willed girl, who is independent to
everyone else. Of course, at time she needs a shoulder to lean
on like anyone else, but she will always try it on her own at first. This is what drew me so much to her as a character. Lauren’s ability to try and attain anything, no matter what is in the way, is outstanding. It was a pleasure to read from her perspective and travel along the story with her.
What I liked so much about this series was how it heavily
weighed on family in such an exciting way. It deals with many concepts, such as
family problems, as well as being adopted or other forms of birth where you
end up living with parents who aren’t yours biologically. It also managed to
capture enough action and a bit of romance in there too to satisfy me. It has a
bit of everything, and it was fun to read. I would definitely rate the whole series a four out of five for me
:D

Olivia’s Question: If you could only remember one thing
about your parents for the rest of your life, what would you choose to
remember?

I loved your review - it actually really makes me want to read the book! :3
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comments :)
DeleteOh wow, such a hard question.... I think that I would remember my Grandma reading to me.
ReplyDeleteI know! I wouldn't have a clue how to answer myself :3 That's a really sweet memory as well :)
DeleteFirstly to answer your question: their constant love and support. I never felt it disappear.
ReplyDeleteBut onto this book. I'm so happy that this one deals with family as I usually have problems with YA books for they don't include family that much. I'm sorry that the final book wasn't as good but I'm glad you enjoyed this series overall. Great review, Olivia :)
That is a good thing to choose to remember. Thank you :)
DeleteSomeone recommended the first book. It never caught my fancy then. Your review may just have changed my mind. XD
ReplyDeleteIt's something nice to read if you don't want anything to heavy but still something reasonably meaningful ^^
DeleteOooh this sounds good I am looking for good books to read over summer.
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy trying it out ^^

Haha, oh thank you so much! I really appreciate this ^.^
DeleteI read the first book and enjoyed it but found it a bit young at times. I was putt off continuing the series after that. I am happy to hear that the second book is even better though, you've got me contemplating picking it up.
ReplyDeleteIt is, I think, because it's more pointed towards the kids at like, 10 to 13, I think?
DeleteLovely review. I have a book-hound niece who likes chick-lit YA stuff, so I will recommend this to her.
ReplyDeleteI hope she likes it!
DeleteFor me it would be a memory of all six of us fooling around in the car on the way to church. We have so much fun, all of us. It makes me think what a wonderful family I have. Wonderful, yet tricky, question, but where is your answer? I know it's hard to incoperate but I want to know! I completely agree with the books and great job by the way for describing Lauren's strong will and character.
ReplyDelete^.^ Glad you enjoyed the series! I think we do have a fantastic family, we're all so close <3
DeleteIf I had to remember anything good about them it would have to be my Mom's creativity and my Dad's volunteering spirit.
ReplyDeleteThose are nice memories to want to keep :)
