My Hoarding Catastrophe - Classic Crazy!

Hi guys!

Time for a book haul! I thought I was being good lately. But there was a book festival and it came to my town... which means I had to be there. I only had 20 euros with me but the books were so cheap D: I managed to get about 7 books there, and the others I collected over time as well. So this book haul has quite a few paperbacks in there... and quite a few review copies as well!

Paperbacks: I went a bit crazy on the classics here...

| 9th Judgement - James Patterson | Dominion - C.J. Sansom | The Scarlet Letter - Nathaniel Hawthorne | The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time - Mark Haddon | Night of All Evil - J. M. Shorney (For Review) | Frankenstein - Mary Shelly | Anna Karenina - Leo Tolstoy | War and Peace - Leo Tolstoy | The Belonging (The Feud) - Grant Harbison (Giveaway Win) | Kitty Hawk and the Curse of the Yukon Gold - Iain Reading (For Review) | The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde - Robert Louis Stevenson | Vostok - Steve Alten (Giveaway Win) | The Liar - Nora Roberts (Giveaway Win @ Fictionzeal) |

Freebies and Giveaways: Only two! I have behaved in this area at least.

| Six Days - Randileigh Kennedy (Giveaway Win @ Little Pink Crayon) | Hollywood Dirty - MZ Kelly |

Review Copies: Quite a few I am excited to read (or have already read because it's been a while since I have done a book haul!)

The Terminal - Jeremy Gosnell | The Torrent - Simone Pond | Art in the Blood - Bonnie Macbird | Bounce XO - Noelle August | The Big Rewind - Libby Cudmore | Cold Feet - Amy Fitzhenry | An Inheritance of Ashes - Leah Bobet | The Zig Zag Girl - Elly Griffiths | A Night Divided - Jennifer A. Nielsen | Burn Girl  - Mandy Mikulencak | Are You Still There - Sarah Lynn Scheerger | Sapient - Jerry Kaczmarowski | For the Record - Charlotte Huang | Duet for Three Hands - Tess Thompson | This is Where it Ends -  Marieke Nijkamp | Sounds Like Me - Sara Bareilles | Komomo Confiserie - Maki Minami | Marrying Christopher - Michele Paige Holmes |

Olivia's Question: What new books have you recently acquired?

  7. Holy hannah! You went just a little insane this week, huh? Lol. I sympathize. I know what it's like when you're unable to resist the call of the needy book. Those tiny little voices that calls out to you with...take me home...take me home... I hear it too, you know? :)

    1. I might have gone a smidge overboard. But yep, I can completely hear those tiny voices... and they hare hard to combat :P

  8. Wow that's an amazing deal you got on those books! Over here you can't find those kind of deals. I really don't know why books have to be so expensive in Spain. There are any great bookstores either so I'm glad I switched over to digital reading over 5 years ago. I can take my eReader with me wherever I go and carry as many books as I like. I just finished reading Shopaholic to the Stars but I'm not quite sure what I think about the main character, Becky, I don't know if I want to slap her or ask her to be my friend? Enjoy your reading, Olivia, I can't wait to read your reviews, especially on War and Peace, I haven't been brave enough to read that one!

    1. It's very rare that this book festival comes but now I know it comes thrice a year I will definitely be prepared and going every time! Ereaders are so helpful for us international readers because then you can read everything! Ahaha, sometimes you get characters like that! But I am glad you liked the book. x

    1. I was pretty intrigued when I found that out as well. I haven't read a lot of celebrity written books so this will be a new experience for me.

    2. She also just wrote the music for an adaptation of the Keri Russell and Nathan Fillion movie "Waitress" that came out a while back. I just heard about this on Pop Culture Happy Hour (NPR). Apparently, Bareilles is expanding her horizons, and good for her - she's so talented.

    3. And by adaptation, I mean the movie has been adapted to a musical.

    4. Oh wow, she really is going places. And as you said, good for her. If she wants to do it then she should!

  13. That is quite the haul! I recently purchased Anna Karenina, even though it's totally intimidating I feel like I owe it to literature to read it. Look forward to hearing your thoughts on all these!

  17. Whoa, fabulous haul! A Night Divided sounds so, so good, as does This is Where it Ends- I am so excited for them both! And of course, An Inheritance of Ashes looks amazing too. And now I need to look up a few of the others, which I am sure will be bad for my TBR ;) I hope you enjoy all of these, and have a wonderful week!

I don't know why though but I wanna buy all the classics all of a sudden LOL and I also placed a cheeky bookdepository order because I wanted The Chimes and Percy Jackson's Greek Heroes and so I added a few more to my basket (oops!!!)
